Munich, 15.06.2005 - COMPUTERLINKS AG (ISIN DE0005448807), the leading value added distributor in Europe, has acquired 100 per cent ownership of the Scandinavian Securesoft Group.
With the acquisition of the Securesoft Group, the COMPUTERLINKS Group has gained direct access to the Scandinavian market. Securesoft is represented by 4 companies in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The Securesoft Group achieved turnover of 37 million Euro and earnings before tax (EBT) of 2.3 million Euro in the financial year 2004. The basic purchase price is 12.1 million Euro. In addition performance-related earn-out payments totalling a maximum 6.2 million Euro were agreed for a period of 4 years. The basic purchase price and also the earn-out payments are to be paid solely in cash.
Securesoft is the leading Scandinavian value-added-distrib ut or in the fast growing field of e-security of great importance to COMPUTERLINKS. COMPUTERLINKS and Securesoft market the products of the leading e-security vendors Check Point, Nokia and Trend Micro amongst others. The Securesoft business model of value added distribution matches that of the COMPUTERLINKS Group. With its presence now in 12 European countries the COMPUTERLINKS Group is consolidating its market position as the leading value added distributor in Europe.
